Frequently Asked Questions

What is Demand Healthy Week?

Demand Healthy Week is ACTIVE Life's annual, national initiative that encourages the public to show their support for a healthy, active American culture. Demand Healthy Week 2011 is the first week of May (2-8).

Why should I care about Demand Healthy Week?

Unhealthy living continues to be an epidemic in America, manifested in ballooning obesity rates, soaring health care costs, and the overabundance of unhealthy people, places, products and policies. Traditional approaches continue to have little impact and we're running out of time.

We've created Demand Healthy Week so that Americans can come together for one incredible week and be unified in our mission to build and sustain healthier communities.

It's time for all of us to come together, take a stand and demand that healthy become the norm in America.
